We recently emailed customers about upcoming changes to our booking system. If you did not receive this email, please check your junk/spam folder. Full information about the transition and any temporary service changes can be found below. 

Booking and Ceremony Portal Launch Update

We are currently unable to take ceremony bookings by phone. Our team is only able to book Notice of Marriage or Civil Partnership appointments over the phone at this time by calling 01452 425060. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Our new Ceremony Portal will now launch next week. We are taking a little extra time to complete final checks to ensure the best possible experience for all customers when the system goes live.

When the new portal launches, you will be able to view and manage your ceremony booking online, all in one place.

You will receive an email with your login details and instructions as soon as the portal is available.

Please note that you are still unable to make changes or choices in your old customer account. This is expected while we transition to the new system. Your existing ceremony booking is not affected.

A new and improved way to view and manage your ceremony booking launches on Thursday 12th March. 

We’re launching a brand new online booking system to make arranging your Ceremony easier, faster, and more convenient. This includes a new Ceremony Portal and changes to the way you view and manage your ceremony bookings.

 

Why are you making this change?


We have taken the step to review and modernise the system we use. We hope to simplify many of our processes and enhance the experience for customers with more self-service options.

 

With the new system, you will be able to:


•    Book ceremonies online, with a new and simpler way of booking notice appointments and submitting ceremony wording 
•    See available dates and times instantly
•    Get immediate confirmation of your booking
•    Easily change or cancel your appointment yourself if your plans change

The new online system is designed to give you a smoother experience, whenever you need to access any of the services that Gloucestershire Registration Service offers.

 

Please note: Ceremony self‑booking will not be available from 12th March.
 
We are currently reviewing the process to ensure it works effectively for all customers.
 
Existing ceremony bookings are not affected, and customers will still be able to access their new Ceremony Portal to view and manage their existing booking.

 

You can still book by phone

We understand that online booking isn’t right for everyone, so we will continue to offer appointment and ceremony bookings by calling our team on 01452 425060. Our staff will be happy to help you.

If you have a ceremony booked with us – what this means for you


We recommend waiting to use the new booking system. Once the new system is live you will receive an email with your login details, making it quicker and easier to manage bookings in your new Ceremony Portal. Please note your old customer account is no longer available. 

 

Ceremony Choices – Choices Part 1 and Ceremony Arrangements

This is where you submit your promises, vows and readings, and give other key information required for your ceremony.

•    If you have already submitted your choices, do not worry about it, we have added the information to your ceremony script.

•    If you haven’t yet submitted your ceremony choices, we recommend waiting for the launch of our new system, where you’ll be able to use the improved Ceremony Choices feature within the new Ceremony Portal. This will give you the best and most streamlined experience.


Notice Appointment Bookings – Gloucestershire Customers Only

•    If you already have notice appointments booked then your appointments are unaffected.

•   Notice appointments can now be booked via phone by calling 01452 425060. When our new Ceremony Portal launches, you will also be able to book your notice appointments online, making the process even quicker and easier.

 

Ceremony Fees

•   You are currently unable to make ceremony payments online. Please wait until our new Ceremony Portal launches, when online payments will become available.

You will receive a welcome email from Gloucestershire Registration Service providing account information and login instructions for your new Ceremony Portal. Please note that you will not be able to access your old account.
