Gloucestershire Registration Service checks your original documents, verifies and copies them and forwards them securely to UK Visas and Immigration where your application will be considered. We are not able to give advice on immigration matters or criteria.

You will need to pay in full when you book an appointment, and will not be refunded unless you cancel/rearrange at least 48 hours before the appointment date. Please note: you will need a credit or debit card to pay this fee when you book your appointment.
This fee does not include fees that UK Visas and Immigration will charge for processing your application.

We are now able to offer customers who go through the Nationality Checking Service a supplementary service that allows them to apply for a British passport at the same time as making the citizenship application.
At present the citizenship application and the subsequent passport application are completely separate processes. An application for a British passport can only be made once the nationality application has been decided and a citizenship ceremony has been attended. This two stage application process does mean a time delay between obtaining British Citizenship and getting a passport.
Our new service, which has been developed in partnership with the Home Office, enables both applications to be submitted together. The passport application is held until the citizenship application has been decided and a ceremony attended. The passport is then released by HM Passport Office and is dispatched to the applicant's home address shortly after the ceremony thereby making the whole process more efficient and easier for the customer.
The cost of this new service is an additional £15.
You will have to pay for the passport application when you come for your appointment. The fees are set out below:

You must bring all your nationality checking papers as set out in the Nationality Checking Service section above, as well as a completed passport application form.
Please be aware that:
The photographs that you submit for the nationality and passport application must be identical (i.e. from the same sitting), taken recently and and comply with photo standards as described in the accompanying 'Applying for a passport' guidance.
Section 1: For the passport, an applicant who is over the age of 15 years and 6 months at the time of the application must attend the appointment in person. An adult is 16 or over (or if you are going to turn 16 in the next 3 weeks). It is still a minor form for nationality applications if under 18.
Section 2: Ensure the name is exactly the same as the name on the Citizenship Application Form and official document i.e. passport or birth certificate. Please do not enter your mobile number in section two of the passport form, we request this is placed in section 8.
Section 4: Grandparents' details are not required.
Section 5: Leave blank.
Section 6: If the child is aged 12 to 15 they MUST sign and date the section INSIDE the box and if the child is aged over 15 years and 6 months they are required to attend the appointment.

Section 9: Signature MUST be INSIDE the box.

Please note that if you do not bring the correct paperwork or the paperwork is not completed correctly and you need to return with further information or another appointment is needed to complete the process that further fees will apply.
